Absolutely wonderful little oasis on Manitoulin!! Close to South Baymouth ferry terminal, so perfect for either coming or going! Meals were top notch. We hadd the pork Schnitzel with spaetzle, carrot soup and beet salad. Almost forgot to mention the maple cheesecake!! Just what we needed!!
We came in on a whim and found the most beautiful and delicious restaurant! Everything about this place seems so thoughtful. The food was amazing - we got trout and duck wings - and the service was fantastic.
This Little Gem of a restaurant is a must if you are looking for an experience you won’t soon forget. Just off of the gravel lot is an entrance to a secret garden that leads to the front door. Be sure to stop and enjoy the many plants and flowers before you leave.
We were greeted by lovely young lady who made us feel right at home. The inside is impeccably clean . The decor is modest and comfortable showing a connection to the land and local people’s. No processed food here ! Hand made and garden grown with love and attention to detail.
This gem of a spot far exceeded my expectations. The best overall experience I have had , and by far the best cooked steak I have ever tasted. Wish a 6 star option was available. Cheers

The arancini was excellent. We both ordered the chicken Parmesan. It came with spatzel and green beans done in a delicious tomato sauce. Highly recommend this.
Dropped on for a light lunch and were bowled over by the flavours. I had the grilled halloumi with greens and my husband had the trout sandwich. Yum!! Loved the iced chai and lavender lemonade too. We’ll be back!
After a great day out exploring beautiful Manatoulin Island with my girlfriend, we suddenly realised we had crossed over from hungry to " hANGRY"! Last minute Google search guided us to a secluded garden country restaurant perfectly named the " Garden 's Gate ". Upon entering , we were warmly welcomed by an awesome staff and seated although we had not a chance to book a reservation. We were quickly brought some refreshing water and chose our meal from a wonderfully mixed menu.
We were pleasantly surprised at the delightful explosion of taste our pallets would soon be teased with.

The atmosphere & ambiance & music were exotic & relaxing.The staff were friendly & courteous.It wasn't just a meal , it was a dining experience! If You have an opertunity to visit the Garden Gate, You should go!

This is a lovely, quaint restaurant; in a garden setting. The carrot soup was smooth, creamy and flavourful. The lake trout, wild rice, and zucchini in tomato sauce were cooked to perfection. The creme brulee and cheesecake were delish!!! All in all a perfect meal. Quick and friendly service. Highly recommend!!!
